"Our vision is a world where people and nature flourish together".
Conservation Volunteers New Zealand (CVNZ) is more than just an organization; it's a movement. Dedicated to preserving New Zealand's natural beauty, CVNZ brings people together for hands-on conservation projects. From tree planting to beach clean-ups, volunteers make a tangible impact while building strong community bonds.
We give $5 from each sold werewere-kōkako shirt to Conservation Volunteers NZ.
CVNZ has four campaigns that focuses on protecting New Zealand’s unique ecosystems. Read more here:
Green Futures
Over the centuries, Aotearoa has lost a lot of its original forest cover. Our Green Futures campaign aims to regenerate what was lost through large scale native planting. These plantings will help increase climate resiliency, and protect and restore native biodiversity.
Wild Futures
Aotearoa New Zealand has one of the highest proportion of threatened species in the world. To help our threatened taonga species, our Wild Futures campaign takes practical actions to make a real difference to vulnerable species.
Wetlands, Waterways & Coasts
Our waterways are in trouble and need our help. Our Wetlands, Waterways and Coasts campaign brings communities together to care for the health of our waterways.
Connected Communities
We are all part of the natural world. Our Connected Communities campaign fosters active kaitiakitanga of the natural world. We encourage the communities we work with to develop the skills and behaviours they need to care for the natural world. Connected Communities focuses on education and employment.
