Endemic dolphins need help

Maui and Hector's dolphins are endemic to New Zealand, known for their small size, distinctive markings, and engaging behavior. Maui dolphins are one of the smallest dolphin species globally, found exclusively off the west coast of the North Island.

Hector's dolphins inhabit coastal waters around the South Island, characterized by their rounded dorsal fins and grey-black coloration with white markings. Both species face threats from fishing activities, making conservation efforts vital to their survival.

The NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust is a research driven organization committed to the conservation of New Zealand's whales and dolphins.

"We are the only research and conservation organization working with whales and dolphins in New Zealand. Our research includes population surveys, studies of whale and dolphin reproduction, survival and human impacts. Our research is firmly focused on ensuring sustainability and recovery."

We give $5 from each sold dolphin shirt to The NZ Whale & Dolphin Trust.
